Children’s Book Week is The CBCA’s key highlight national event of the year.
CBCA Book Week is an annual celebration of children’s literature across Australia, organised by the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA). The week encourages young readers to explore books, discover new stories, and connect with the creativity of Australian authors and illustrators. It is a chance for schools, libraries, families, and communities to promote reading and foster a love of storytelling in children of all ages.
The theme for 2026 is “Symphony of Stories”, celebrating the diversity of stories and the many ways they inspire, entertain, and bring people together.
